Chef Andrej was born in Czecho-Slovakia and he has been interested in cooking and baking from his early years. He learned his passion for food from his grandmother in her kitchen and at the Hotel resort she was general manager. Andrej spent a lot of time during his school holidays cooking with her there.
After finishing school and earning a Business Management Master's Degree, he came to the United States where he discovered his true passion for cooking. He started his cooking career at The Nauset Beach Club Restaurant in East Orleans, MA, where he spent 6 years working his way up from line - cook to Head chef. After leaving The Nauset Beach Club he spent a year working for Chef Owner Erez Pinhas at ABBA restaurant in Orleans, MA. Andrej was also former Chef de cuisine at The Bramble Inn Restaurant in Brewster, Ma.
Recently Andrej decided to bring his talent and cuisine to a more open market becoming a personal chef & caterer. His goal is to provide a fine dining experience for all of your planned events. Andrej prefers using fresh organic local produce, natural meats and local seafood.
Monika has always had passion for cooking but treated is as a hobby and decided to study International Relations. She graduated with master’s degree in economics but never abandoned cooking. She was always organizing private parties with delicious food. Her love for cooking was so strong she decided to become a chef. She went to study Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University and graduated summa cum laude. Monika has worked for big hotels like Hyatt Regency in Cincinnati and Cambridge. She gained a lot of valuable experience working on big events for 100-500 people. After Hyatt she got her dream job at Ritz Carlton in Boston. She loved working there because every guest was treated like a VIP. It was always exciting and every day was different. Although the hotel always had a menu in place the guests would make up their own orders. While most of her coworkers complained about it she was never afraid of the challenge.
Monika got married in 2009 and moved to Cape Cod. She has worked in two great restaurants: Fanizzi’s by the Sea and Montanos. In the meantime she also trained herself as a baker. In 2015 she had a daughter and stopped working till she met Andrej’s wife Zuzana at one of the local playgroups for kids. Monika has invited Zuzana and Andrej for her daughter’s 1st birthday. Andrej was pretty impressed with the food and said “ you should be doing it for living”. Monika informed him that she was actually a chef. That year she has joined Cape Cod Private Dinners and enjoyed it ever since. Monika is very detailed oriented. She believes food has to look and taste great. Her culinary heroes are Ferran Adria, Thomas Keller and Grant Achatz.
